CVH Advisory Committee

• The ‘Advisory Committee’
  Members of this obligatory committee will be appointed following consultation with the Dean and the DVC (R). The final composition may require the approval of the external funding agency (e.g. State or Federal Government). This committee assists the CVH Director / CVH Deputy Director in discharging their responsibilities with respect to policies. The committee is chaired by Professor Lawrie Beilin (Louis Mathison Professor, Monash University), who has been appointed by the DVC(R). Professor Beilin is an internationally renowned, highly regarded clinical scientist with a corresponding track record of over 500 publications, an initiator of a Centre for Clinical Research Excellence, the former Head of the Department of Medicine at UWA and is working at the forefront of high-impact research. In 2001, he was awarded the Prime Minister’s Centenary Medal and in 2003, the Order of Australia in the General Division.
